Villa Gonzalez is a municipality (municipio) of the Santiago province in the Dominican Republic. Within the municipality there are two municipal districts (distritos municipal): El Limón and Palmar Arriba.[1]

The town is located 20 miles away from Santiago de los Caballeros.

As of the 2002 census the municipality had a total population of 33,573 inhabitants, 12,949 living in its urban settlements and 20,624 in its rural districts (Secciones). 29,126 did live in its seat (cabecera literally head), 9,497 in the town of Villa Gonzalez itself and 19,629 in its rural districts. The municipal district Palmar Arriba had 4,447 inhabitants, 3,452 living in the town itself and 995 in its rural districts.
