Viljo Tamm, Estonian-Canadian singer-songwriter
An Estonian born artist has extensive experience as a European recording pop, rock & country singer, songwriter, and stage performer. Born in Tartu, Estonia on November 23,1956.
Started his career as a musician in 1978 with the group "Viker6" which within the first year formed a band "Repriis". "Repriis" started performing professionally under The Estonian National Philharmonic Society. In 1981 Viljo Tamm started performing with "Fix"- the oldest rock group in Estonia, topping the charts in Estonia and all over the Soviet Union. He went on to perform professionally for fifteen years with "Fix" with performances on the stages in Europe, Asia and Africa. Steady performances on Television shows. In the meanwhile between 1988-89 Viljo joined the band "Apelsin" as a singer. In 1995 Viljo Tamm started a solo career and formed a "Viljo Tamm Band". The first self titled album debuted at number one in Estonia. Throughout the years Viljo Tamm has written songs and lyrics for his bands and many Estonian artists.
Viljo Tamm lives these days in Toronto, Canada.
