Vilhelm Lauritzen

Vilhelm Lauritzen (9 September 1894 – 22 December 1984) was a Danish architect. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen. He received the academy's gold medal in 1926. He founded the architectural firm Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkiteckter in 1928 and remained active in the firm until 1969.[1][2] He was architect for Copenhagen Airport's new terminal (1936-1939). He designed the airport of Copenhagen in 1962 and the Embassy of Denmark in Washington, D.C in 1947.
The architectural firm he founded is still doing business in Denmark and still bears his name.
