Vilampatti is a small village located in Virudhunagar District, Tamilnadu, India. It is about just 5 kilometres from sivakasi. The total population in here is around 2000. There are about 2 marriage halls, 3 schools, Hindu temples, browsing centres, match factories and fireworks depots here. This village is very famous for its excellency in educating students from in and around sivakasi. Especially A.V.M.Marimuthu Nadar Higher Secondary School and V.N.U.Periakaruppa Nadar & Thillaiammal Matriculation School here provides excellent education. There are more than 1500 pupils studying in these schools. The main economy of the people living here is agriculture. But now a days so many people from here are well educated and staying in various parts of the world.
