Vikruthamala is a small village in yerpedu mandal of chittor district in Andhra pradesh state of India. Situated one kilo meter away from the Airport of tirupathi and 3 kilo meters away from the river Swarna mukhi. This village during 20th century was administered under srikalahasti raja's rule. During srikalahasti raja's rule head of village use to be called as Reddy Work(Reddy Pani). Reddyvari Narayana Reddy was the head of this village along with 6 other villages in the same yerpedu mandal during the srikalahasti raja's tenure. The majority of people in this village are dependent on agriculture. Agricultural production here mainly comprises of Paddy, Ground nut(peanuts) , milk and Sugercane. Major agricultural water resources for the village is presently from a lake(cheruvu). The village has a very old temple of Lord Rama. Details of this temple are yet to be explored. The gopuram of this temple made of 5 metals(panchalohas) is theft in the year of 2008. Part of land that belongs to this temple is being used for the construction of government school buildings. The village celebrates all traditional hindhu festivals along with local festival which they call as "gangamma jaathara". Youth of this village like the the sport "cricket" and they also participate in the tournaments that are being conducted by the RASS-Rayalaseema Seva Samithi.

This village produced some good professionals to the society.who are good social responsible people.and always give a helping hand to the people of village.to Name some, Mr.P.Subramanyam (Addl collector Karanataka) Mr.Reddyvari.Prabhakar Reddy (Deputy Executive officer special grade TTD Tirupathi.) Mr.Reddyvari.Bhaskar Reddy (Principal govt polytechnic for physically challenged TPT.) Mr.Giri (District Registrar Anantapoor.) Mr.Hemakshi (Deputy registrar Kuppam university)

all the above said people visit village regularly and mainly at the time of gangamma jathara and vinayaka chavithi.

Mr.R.Bhaskar Reddy and Mr.Hemakshi founded vinayaka vidhyardhi sangam,Mr.Prabhakar Reddy promoted it. which is still organised by youth in village. these sangam organises vinayaka chavithi festival(ooregimpu) fantastically and it is quite famous in and around vikruthamala village.

the next generation of the village is continuing the legacy.
