Dr. Vijayalakshmi NavaneethaKrishnan is a tamil folk singer/composer, and a professor at Madurai Kamaraj University^[1]. She, along with singers like Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, are responsible for the revival of folk music in Tamilnadu.
