Talk:Vigna caracalla
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Based on Internet searches, there seems to be confusion about whether the flowers of Vigna caracalla are fragrant, and whether it is the same as Phaseolus carcacalla. When this article is cleaned up with sources, it would be good to address these questions.

[edit] Monticello
First I would like to point out that the picture of the flower is phaseolus caracalla as can be seen here http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53274/ as opposed to vigna caracalla which can be seen here http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1884/ Also, if snail vine or snail bean are searched they are re-directed here. That said perhaps it would be of note to mention that vigna caracalla is grown in Monticello gardens and was mentioned in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Benjamin Hawkins.
