This act is in reference to Vietnam era veterans, disabled veterans, and any veterans who served active duty time during a war event that qualifies for a campaign badge.
The United States law requires that employers that contract or subcontract with the federal government in amounts of $25,000 plus comply with these guidelines. The employer must provide equal opportunity to the veterans listed above.
If covered by this act and a veteran believes he or she has been discriminated against they may file a complaint. These complaints can be filed with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs or with a local Veteran's Employment Representative at the local State employment services office.
