Viennoiserie

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Viennoiseries are baked products made in a similar manner to bread, but with ingredients (eggs, butter, milk, cream and sugar) giving them a sweeter, heavier quality closer to pastry. The dough is raised and often laminated. Viennoiseries are typically eaten at breakfast.

Examples include filled brioches, pain au chocolat, Danish pastries and raisin buns.
