VideoDownloader

VideoDownloader is an extension for the Mozilla Firefox web browsers which allows the user to download videos from sites that use a Flash video player, for example YouTube. The extension was developed by Francisco Javier Moya Suárez. The current stable release of VideoDownloader is version 1.1.1, released on September 29, 2006.

Download.com's editor review rated VideoDownloader highly, recommending it to any level application but suggesting that it could be improved by allowing immediate download through the status-bar button.[1]

The extension has since then fallen behind, as YouTube changes have broken VideoDownloader's compatibility.
