Vidavalur is a village and a Mandal in Nellore district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. ^[1]

Vidavalur is popular Mandal headquarters in Nellore dist. It has nearly 100 years history, In Vidavalur village have colleges along with Hostel facility up to graduate level, which is affliated with S.V. University-Tirupati, it is one of biggest education centers in Nellore Dist. And one of biggest commercial place of Nellore dist, Rice mills, agriculture, Aqua cultivation are the major fields of commercial.

The most popular Communist leader Late Sri Puchalapalli Sundaraiah hails from Alaganipadu of Vidavalur Mandal. The village(Alaganipadu) produces more graduates compared with the other villages in that mandal.
