He lives in Reykjavik, Iceland
Graduated from the Icelandic Drama School 1976 and was soon to become one of the leading theatre persons of his generation in Iceland.
Actor with some leading companies including National Theatre of Iceland, Reykjavik City Theatre, Akureyri City Theatre and the People´s Theatre, as well as establishing and for years managing his own theatre, the EGG Theatre, which has been noted for artistic merit at numerous international theatre festivals.
With more than 100 roles to his credit on stage, as well as on radio, television, and in film. Eggertsson has been a prolific director for radio, TV and stage with more than 60 plays whose credits.
