[edit] Mao (game)
Thanks for these additions to Mao (game). Unfortunately because of its nature, Mao has fragmented into a large number of variants, many of which have little or no documentation. Wikipedia requires that any claim likely to be contested be supported by a citation. I've read a fair number of variants online, and I've never see the rules you suggest. Googling around, I'm failing to find them. As such, they may be too regional to be noteworthy. I've removed them. If you can provide citations for those rules, please feel free to re-add them with a citation. If you're unfamiliar with adding citations, feel free to add a note to Talk:Mao (game) noting where to find the rules you believe should be added and I or someone else can help get them added. Welcome to Wikipedia. I'm sorry that your well intentioned edit was so quickly deleted. It's just that Mao is unfortunately a very hard article to keep clean, since so many people want to document their local rules variants. If we let it go uncontrolled, the article rapidly grows out of control (and has in the past several times). I'm sorry for the hassle. I hope you'll stay and continue to contribute! Let me know if I can answer any questions; you can ask here (I'll keep an eye on it for a few weeks), or at my talk page — Alan De Smet | Talk 04:49, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
