- Per chance, have you driven US 33 southeast of Columbus? I've driven the new segment south of Athens to the West Virginia state line, but not northward. BTW, they are reconstructing the diamond interchange at OH 7 and US 33 in Pomeroy to I believe a semi-directional interchange. US 33 now turns a 90-degree eastward at that point, so I believe they are installing flyover ramps. Otherwise, I would have no idea what all the reconstruction is about. - Yes, I've been down that way a few times recently, to varying distances, as far as Nelsonville on one occasion, to ride that scenic railorad. I've got a few pics, especially of the Lancaster bypass and the Southeast Expressway. And regarding the Ravenswood Connector, I'd heard something a while ago somewhere that they were improving that US-33 / OH-7 interchange, but I haven't made it that far southeast in quite some time.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Birdin Symbol.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Birdin Symbol.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:14, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Birdin Symbol.png
Hello, VidTheKid. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Birdin Symbol.png) was found at the following location: User:VidTheKid. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 01:32, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An important letter
Dear roads editor,
You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.
This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.
After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.
The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.
In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.
For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.
In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.
All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.
In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.
Regards,
Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 17:10, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] USRD Inactivity check and news report
Hello, VidTheKid. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:
- Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
- There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

[edit] Question regarding an image you made
Good day, I was wondering how you created the map . I would like to make a map of historical streetcar routes in Columbus and I like the way yours is formatted. Thanks.--Analogue Kid (talk) 20:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- It was drawn using vector (pen) tools in Paint Shop Pro. Data-wise, it was traced (loosely) over a map copied from MS Streets & Trips in which I'd highlighted the numbered streets and avenues. I'm not sure how much of a copyright issue that is, actually. Tracing over pretty much any other source would result essentially the same drawing, and the errors introduced in the tracing step far outweigh any differences between Microsoft's data and other providers.
