May 1, 2003, President Bush landed on the Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and proclaimed Mission Accomplished. Since that day, various groups have observed each anniversary as Victory In Iraq Day. While there is no official date, the 2005 U.S. Congress authorized 20 million dollars for celebrations.[1]
