The Victory Baptist College (VBC) is an Independent Baptist college, located in North Augusta, South Carolina. Victory Baptist College (VBC) was established with the idea of becoming a training center for preachers and those interested in full-time Christian service. The leadership of Dr. R. Larry Brown, D. Div. (President), Dr. Steven Hurte, D. Min. (Vice President), and Bro. Brenton Carr, M.A.[BS.] (Executive Director), exemplifies a Christ-like spirit of diligence to “go the second mile” to help train others for the ministry.
Men and women entering VBC can expect a program established and proven by standards for godly living. We offer many opportunities for Christian service each week in the varied ministries of Victory Baptist Church. By the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit, we desire to train men and women for God’s glory!

[edit] History
The College was founded in 1983 and is under Victory Baptist Church where Dr. Brown has pastored for over thirty years. Our culture and society today is a breeding ground for anti-God, anti-Christ and anti-Church philosophies grown out of a lack of God-centered, Bible-conceived, Holy Spirit powered preaching. The leadership of VBC believes that the hope for this generation is this type of old-fashioned preaching. Therefore, the College was established to train men for the task of preaching.
[edit] Academics
Currently the school only offers two courses of study:
- Pastoral Ministries: Although all students can enroll in this course the program is primarily aimed at preparing men for the job of pastors, assistant pastors, missionaries, or evangelists. The course concentrates in teaching Baptist doctrine as well as "implanting a heavenly fire and zeal into the heart of every student."
- Christian Elementary Education: he Christian Elementary Education course is only offered to women. The class' goal is to prepare young women for teaching in Christian schools as well as preparing them to be the wife of an independent Baptist pastor.
[edit] Student Life
[edit] Dorms
The school offers only a male dormitory, located off campus. Women who wish to attend VBC must find a place to live on their own, although the school does help in securing available apartments for them. All students are required to be faithful members of their local church. All out of town students are required to attend the Victory Baptist Church.
[edit] Hands On Teaching
VBC prides itself on being "the place for preachers!" The college is continuously scheduling opportunities for its student-preachers to go to other churches and preach. Currently there are over ten different churches located throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia that regularly schedule VBC students to be guest speakers.
[edit] Camp Meeting
The Victory Baptist Church holds an annual camp meeting every May. Students are required to attend this mandatory event. The meeting lasts for five nights with an emphasis being placed on worship to God. The event features many of the nation's premier Southern Gospel groups as well as many of the most well known independent Baptist preachers.
