From there she performed at the Junior Shakespeare Company and in the University of Utah's Theatre for Youth program. At the age of 13 her father took her to see The Phantom of the Opera in New York City. Victoria attended the University of Northern Colorado where she appeared in: The Man Who Came to Dinner (Lorraine), The Taming of the Shrew (Kate), Always Patsy Cline (Patsy Cline), and Evita (Eva Peron). After obtaining her degree Victoria moved to New York City.

After that Victoria went on to star in other shows such as Godspell (Joanne), Baby Case (Studio Sister/ The Secretary), The Sound of Music (Maria), Cats (Grizabella). She was also a part of the national tours of The Full Monty (Susan ((understudy for Pam, Vicki) and Evita (Sister, Nurse).
Victoria was also seen in Jekyll and Hyde in Concert (Emma), and it was in this show that she met her future husband Fletcher Stephens.
After receiving a second chance to audition for the hit musical Wicked, Victoria was cast as the standby for Elphaba in the national tour in February 2006. She took a brief break in September 2006 to be married, but then quickly returned to the tour. She served for both Julia Murney and Shoshana Bean. On January 3, 2007, Victoria took over the lead role of Elphaba from Shoshana Bean and ended her run as the green witch on November 4, 2007 in Boston, MA. She was replaced by Carmen Cusack who was recently the standby for Elphaba in the Chicago company of Wicked.
