Victor Kachaka

Victor Kachaka is a folk musician, guitarist and lawyer from Lusaka, Zambia.

Victor rose to fame after recording "It is True", a popular novelty tune during the early 1990s.

Victor's follow up was yet another novelty song entitled "Beer Man".

Victor's music can be characterised as Zambian folk music, incorporating elements of traditional Zambian music and western folk music. One commentator described his musical language as more influenced by Bob Dylan than by rappers. Victor favours the use of satire and comedy to make poignant social commentary.
