Victor Crist is a Republican member of the Florida Senate, representing the 12th District since 2001. Previously he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1992 through 2000.

In early 2008, Mr. Christ sponsored a bill that would require private eateries to stock enough toilet paper to accommodate its patrons.

While in State House, Crist made a headlines by propose adoption of guillotine (instead of electric chair) as a method of executions in Florida. Later, after a botched electrocution of Pedro Medina, he defended electric chair by words: electrocution is quick and painless[1].
