Vicnet is the first government-run ISP in Australia. It is a department of the State Library of Victoria.

Vicnet was created as an initiative of then Premier of Victoria Jeff Kennett.

Vicnet offers a number of services including DSL and dial-up accounts and webhosting. It also collaberates with other organisations on such projects as My Connected Community and the Victorian Public Internet Access Program.
