Vicki F. Matsumori

Vicki Fujii Matsumori (b. December 15, 1950) has been a counselor to Cheryl C. Lant in the general presidency of the Primary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2005.
Vicki Fujii was born in Murray, Utah. Her parents were not members of the LDS Church, but they sent her to a local LDS congregation as a child. When Vicki was eight years old, she was baptized a member of the church. Later, when Vicki was in high school, her parents also became members of the church. In 1973, she married James Matsumori in the Salt Lake Temple. Matsumori obtained a degree in jouranlism and English from the University of Utah in 1973.
At the April 2005 church general conference, Matsumori was accepted by the church as the first counselor of Cheryl C. Lant in the general presidency of the Primary. Prior to her call into the general presidency, Matsumori was a member of the general Primary board for five years and was a frequent contributor to the Friend magazine.
Matsumori is the mother of three children.
