Izold Pustylnik (March 17, 1938 - May 2, 2008) is a recently deceased Estonian astronomer who worked in Tartu Observatory, Estonia. His research interests included physics of close binary systems, theory of stellar atmospheres, interstellar medium, archaeoastronomy, and history of astronomy. He received his bachelor's degree in 1960 from Odessa University, his Ph.D. in 1969 from Tartu University, and Doctor of Sciences degree in 1994 from Saint Petersburg State University.
Pustylnik was a member of International Astronomical Union, European Astronomical Society, Society for European Astronomy in Culture, Euroscience, Board of Euro-Asian Astronomical Society, Editor of Central European Journal of Physics, and Vice-Chairman of non-profit organization Euroscience Estonia.
