I distinctly recall a storyline wherein Viki was abducted by aliens. It should perhaps be mentioned in the article, but I can't recall enough details. I seem to recall it was in the late 1980s or early 1990s.MichaelCaricofe 04:11, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

I believe you're thinking of when she went to heaven in the late 80s; it looked a lot like the interior of a big white spaceship! TAnthony 02:33, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
That storyline actually wasn't that bad, but it was diminished years later when 3 of the "dead" characters that Viki met in "heaven" (Victor Lord, Mitch Laurence, and the Niki Smith personality) later turned up alive! --- 65.215.37.164 - 17:12, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Missing a Kidney

Didn't Viki donate a kidney to someone ? I recall reading an interview given by Slezak in the 1980's where when asked about future storylines she commented that she wanted less medicaly involved onces and said "I can't keep giving away my kidneys" Dowew 05:25, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Yes, she gave one to daughter Megan, who died of lupus anyway. TAnthony 02:33, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why Dorian shouldn't be added to Viki's list of relatives

Dorian and Viki never regarded each other as family. Tagging Dorian, Cassie, and Adriana as Viki's "relatives" is an example of fans getting hold of Wikipedia articles and being too meticulous with detail. I mean seriously, when have we ever seen Viki and Adriana refer to each other as being related? Does Dorian's parents become Viki's "step grandparents"? Do Addie and Melinda become Viki's "step aunts"? Do Blair and Kelly become her "step cousins"? To do that would mean that we'd also have to add Cord and Andrew to her children list. We'd also have to add River to her list of grandchildren. We'd have to add John Carpenter and Sam Rappaport to the list as her step-brothers-in-law....Maggie, Ian, Will and Jen Rappaport as her "step nieces and nephews". We'd have to add Irene Clayton to the list as Viki's "step mother" too. Where does it end? It's TOO convoluted, and TOO much. Unless these "step" relatives were officially adopted into the family (i.e., Clint adopting Kevin, Joey, and Jessica), these lists should feature biological family only. OK, I agree that it could get ridiculous, considering the amounts of times characters marry on soaps. But in the unique case of Dorian, she continues to use the name Lord after all these years, which means that relationship is never forgotten. Yes, the women don't refer to each other that way, but the fact that Dorian married Victor and screwed with the whole Lord family is basically the whole reason Viki and Dorian hated each other in the first place. Yes, listing Addie as step-aunt is overkill, and perhaps even Cassie and Adriana don't need to be either (they weren't around when Dorian was Viki's stepmother), but certainly Dorian should be there. TAnthony 20:08, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, a compromise...how about Dorian being listed in *other relatives* as "former step-mother" ? But the rest of the Cramers need to stay off. The Real One Returns 20:11, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
My only disagreement is that you aren't a "former" stepmother if the marriage ended because your husband died. I'm sure any of us could find enough stepparents who would agree with that point. Like it or not -- even if Viki and Dorian like it or not -- they have a stepfamily relationship that cannot be brought to an end. -- 65.215.37.164 17:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Romantic Entanglements

IMO this should be reserved for affairs/dating relationships. None of the men Viki was married to should be listed here, because they are already listed under marriages.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Clint Viki.jpg

Image:Clint Viki.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:06, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Viki's Name

I've noticed that a couple of people keep switching Victoria Lord and Victoria Lord Davidson as the primary page title, with one redirecting to the other. I think it would be good if the two involved could come to some understanding on which to keep. In my opinion (and that's all it is, an opinion) I think that despite her history being known as "Victoria Lord", her currently used name is "Victoria Lord Davidson" and I think the page should be named that way. However, I may have the wrong perspective on this, so those who disagree please don't be upset with my opinion, either way is appropriate. I just think that everyone should make up their mind one way or the other. RogBJr84 03:22, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

There's a decent argument either way. While my own personal choice is female characters being listed with their maiden names, there's a good argument to be made for Victoria Lord Davidson -- because the show both credits her as such and because the character uses Davidson. (Although there's an equally strong argument for Viki Lord Davidson.) D'Amico 08:06, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
