This is an image talk page on Wikipedia for an image located on Wikimedia Commons. The image is located at commons:Image:Vichyfrance.GIF. Though this talk page may appear to be an orphaned talk page, it is not and is not eligible for speedy deletion (see CSD G8).

Thanks Adam for your work! This map is lot better than the one which preceded. I'd just wanted to point out two things:

  • the caption ("France under German occupation, 1940-1944) and the map does not make clear that Germans invaded the southern zone (so-called "free zone") in November 1942. It's a shame you forgot to legend the white part and make clear the distinction before & after November 1942.
  • It also does not concord, concerning Italy's occupation, with this map here which seems to be taken from a Terminale history course (last year of high school, just before the baccalauréat).

These are the two important points. This other map described the "area administrated from Brussels" as "forbidden area. Under the military administration of Brussels" (my emphasis).
