[edit] Dedication Plaque

"On 7th February, 1997, in the Victoria Police Academy Chapel this Ensign was dedicated by the Senior Police Chaplain, The Reverend James Pilmer and presented to the Force by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services The Honourable Bill McGrath, MLA.

The Banner is made from Bemberg silk and is edged with silver twist fringe. Hand embroidered with gold and silver bullion silk thread, the Badge was created by a lone craftswoman who devoted approximately two hundred and fifty hours to the task. In accordance with tradition the Pike Pole has attached to it a plaited silver rope and is surmounted by the crest of the Victoria Police."
