  • This image was taken from an article on CNN, but clearly shows that it is copyrighted to this (KMGH-TV) Denver News Station.

[edit] Rationale of "fair use" for Columbine High School massacre:

I, PRueda29, believe this image falls under fair use, According to section 107 of the United States Copyright Act of 1976 (The fair use of a copyrighted work...for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.  [2] because:

  1. The image is used for non-profit purposes.
  2. It is a low resolution screenshot captured from a news broadcast/news report.
  3. The image is of significantly lower resolution so as not to allow any high-quality copies.
  4. The image is used for informational purposes only.
  5. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of this article and how the event depicted was very historically significant to the general public. In this case, it shows how an injured victim was rescued from the library by SWAT Team members.
