The software (VICE) and X11 window manager used in screenshot (Window Maker) is GNU GPL. X11 widget set, Athena, is under X11 License.

The Commodore 64 firmware itself has an unclear copyright ownership status, but is nevertheless copyrighted.

This image is only used for discussion of the VICE emulator, and its ability to emulate various Commodore systems, including Commodore 64. It is only used as an illustration of commentary, and doesn't interfere with Commodore copyright owner's ability to turn profit.
