[edit] RfA

Hi, if you want, you have the option of withdrawing your current RfA request. This might be in your best interest, as future opposes will probably reiterate the same items over and over. In terms of feedback, I don't see that you're going to get much more mileage out of this one. Let me know if you'd prefer to withdraw, or let the RfA run its course. [edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Vianello

Vianello, I am sorry to inform you that I have closed your RfA as unlikely to reach consensus: there was a 6:1 ratio against the request at the time of processing. However, don't be downhearted by this: I can assure you that your contributions are both highly welcome and valued—many editors have failed their first request for adminship, only to sail through later and become well-respected administrators.

You may wish to review the Guide to RfA before submitting future nominations, as well as well as here and here, both of which list the more highly-supported RfAs. Additionally, admin coaching is a useful aid for editors interested in becoming an administrator. If I can assist you at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. Kindest regards, Anthøny 21:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I would like to say that your responses to the WP:SNOW closing of this RfA were a great example of why I believe you will make a fine admin sometime in the future. I don't do admin coaching, or mentoring, or any of that stuff (because I don't want to commit to something with consequences to other people if I develop some problem with it) but if there are any questions that occur to you on which you might wish to hear the opinion of one admin, then my talkpage is at your disposal. In the meantime, go the places where admins go and work out why they do what they do, work in article space to get a feel for what the encyclopedia is really all about, visit the policy pages and see how they relate to what you are learning, and ask questions of anyone you think might be able to help you. Let me know when you think you might re-apply. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 22:26, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Clarification

When I made mention of CSD in your RfA, I had noticed a few errors of requesting speedy. Too many incorrectly placed speedy tags can hurt a future RfA. My apologies for not expounding while it was open, as I was offline. The other admin related areas most people look for is contributing to WP:AN and WP:ANI (they should be on your watchlist). You'd be responding to other editors questions or problems there, much like WP:HD. WP:AIV was a good start, WP:UAA would be good as well. Getting into conversations and expressing opinions on WT:RfA. And I'd also recommend reading over the WP:ARL. I hope this helps out a bit, and don't let your recent RfA discourage you from editing the pedia, or working on becoming an admin. Best regards and happy editing from SynergeticMaggot (talk) 22:40, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] By way of response to all of the above

All understandable, and thanks! I'm actually still glad I made a go of it. It may not have been the appropriate way to go about it, but this process has resulted in getting me a lot more info and insight, which I'll be putting to use. It won't be terribly soon, but 'til next time, RfA folks! - Vianello (talk) 23:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the repeat submissions, I wasnt sure what was going on. I did not mean any disrespect by it, and it wont happen again. Is there anyway to get a screenshot? Im graduating this year and without knowing how strict wikipedia is, I promised him that I would put one up, but I'm sure he will understand. I just want to give him something to remember the page, is that possible? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nascarjake (talkcontribs) 02:00, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Real Madrid

I consider the 3rd paragraph to have no sources, to be started by a moron, and to be completely biased. This C. Ronaldo, Mexican takeover rubbish is really getting to people's heads, and I'm surprised you consider deleting BS vandalism, because there is even flimsier evidence for United's ascendancy to the financial pole position than there is for the claim that Real is the most powerful club. Please delete the garbage, if you can, or I can really bring up sources to disprove the useless drivel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.189.246.43 (talk) 06:37, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Try it yourself. It's as easy as adding {{subst:prod-nn}} to your next non-notable discovery :) -- Longhair\talk 06:58, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
