- "this was ripped off of Answers.com" -- You mean the same Answers.com whose VGASAVE article page states "This entry is from Wikipedia, the leading user-contributed encyclopedia." ?

[edit] Real World Case
Brad H. once deleted VGASAVE trying to get his video card to work, and it rendered his system completely unusable, the machine would boot properly, but you couldn't see anything.
