VG Pocket Tablet

The VG Pocket Tablet was created by PDP and Pelican Products in 2006. The Tablet is a portable handheld video gaming system. The console is self contained, as there is no cartridge slot, but rather it is pre-loaded with 25 games.

Tablet- Priced at $29.99 retail. It has a round tablet shaped design. Comes in four colors, orange, green, red, and white. Has a very bright 2” backlit 640 x 240 TFT display. Considered 8-bit. The unit is powered by 3 AAA batteries. Comes with 25 built-in games which includes Konami's classic Frogger. The unit has the capability of being able to hookup and play on a TV set with the purchase of a separate “starter kit” that includes a storage carrying case and AV hookup cables.

Games included are remakes or clones of classic arcade and 8-bit console games. Many reviewers have commented on the surprising quality of the console's screen.
