Revising the Article

I'm going to revise the article. A lot of the termonology used in the article is from the Robotech series in America, and not from the Macross Series that this machine was created for. As well, the loadout and the history is incomplete, and I am adding to it as well. 68.114.134.22 06:14, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Chance Gearheart

This reads like Palladium role playing game stats, even including reference to melee actions. This was pulled off a fan website: http://www.steelfalcon.com/Macross/vf19.shtml. I will try to gather original Japanese sources to replace these fan rpg ones.

[edit] Fictional companies in Macross

According to This is Animation Special: Macross Plus [1], the fictional company that manufactured the lasers on the YF-19 is Mauler (マウラー), not Mauser. According to Macross Perfect Memory [2], the same company manufactured the lasers on the VF-1 Valkyrie. The same sources say the YF-19's GU-15 and the VF-1 Valkyrie's GU-11 is manufactured by Howard (ハワード), not Hughes Aircraft. Finally, the same sources say the YF-19's mini-missiles and the MBR-04-Mk-VI Tomahawk's rockets are manufactured by Bifors (ビフォーズ), not Bofors. This is similar to how the manufacturer of the VF-1 Valkyrie itself is Stonewell/Bellcom, not Rockwell and Bell. Like the designations "VF-1" and "YF-19," the Macross creators deliberately chose to invent fictional names for manufacturers that are similar to, but not exactly the same as, real-world names. Like Mobile Suit Gundam,Offical information reverted by even offical it self.Just Take a look.As you don't know what it means,I can make it translate in to English.
Everybody know the origin of those fictional company and nobody will confuse even if we use their real name in this fictional world.Studio Nue do hard in past years to fix and make this series closer to reality;at least, looks much reality. As they don't want to do that then why they do those revert?I do notthing but what they've forgotten.
I don't wanna to fight you today, just let you know.--User:Kapitanleutnant0083
If the official Macross sources want to change information, that is their job and prerogative—but it is not Wikipedia's job. Wikipedia is not the place for original research. If Studio Nue does not want to change the names, Wikipedia should not change the names. Please respect the wishes of Studio Nue and the official policy of Wikipedia. Egan Loo 18:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
