Vespoli

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vespoli is a manufacturer of racing shells for rowing. It was founded by former Georgetown rower and Olympian and World Rowing Champıon Mike Vespoli in 1980 and is located on the Quinnipiac River in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. All Vespoli rowing shells are currently made in the New Haven and ıs the largest producer of racing shells ın the US.

In the past, some boats have been made in Mexico (original M2 model) and in China (original Launcher model). One was able to tell that the Launchers were made in China by the standard section made at 4 and 5 seat, typically an $875 surcharge, but not on the original Launchers. Boats are sectioned for ease of shipping, specifically on shipping containers overseas. The Launchers then briefly made in New Haven, but was discontinued because of it's high cost and lack of sales.
