Verticordia citrella is a woody shrub found in Southwest Australia. The slender and erect shrub is between 0.3 and 1.0 metre tall. The flowers are yellow, almost entirely cover the plant, and appear during October or November. The habitat is swampy or low lying and damp sands. The shrub occurs in northern parts of the Jarrah Forest and Avon Wheatbelt regions. The species was first described by Alex George in the journal Nuytsia (1991).
