"Verse Chorus Verse" (often mislabeled in bootlegs as "In His Hands" or "In His Room") is a song by American rock band Nirvana. The song was performed live or during soundchecks in the '90-'91 era and was recorded during the Nevermind sessions.
In an early draft of the song, found in Journals, singer-songwriter and guitarist Kurt Cobain's lyrics included the line "at the end of rainbows and of your rope," which is best known from Nevermind's liner notes. The song's name was also used in a later Nirvana recording, most commonly known as "Sappy."
The attempted recording for Nevermind was posthumously released in the 2004 box set With the Lights Out.
