Vernon Valley, New York

The hamlet of Vernon Valley, New York is located in Suffolk County, in the Township of Huntington. It is southeast of the incorporated Village of Northport, and is in the Northport postal zone.

Known from late in the 18th century as "Red Hook", this unincorporated hamlet took on the name Vernon Valley before 1900, soon after the local commercial center moved to Northport.[1]
