Vernetta Lopez

Vernetta Lopez (born on July 22nd, 1973) is a Singaporean actress and a radio DJ for Class 95FM. One of her most notable roles in television is Denise in Under One Roof, a 1994 television series. Lopez is of Portuguese and Thai ancestry from her father as well as Peranakan from her mother.[1]

Lopez and her mother claimed that they are of African ancestry which dates back to about 150,000 years old following a DNA test.[1]

Lopez was once married to 987 FM programme director Mark Richmond, whom she had dated for a couple of years, in 1997; that marriage ended in divorce in 2001. She announced at a press conference for "The Leap Years" (in which she plays a lesbian) that she will be marrying her boyfriend of six years, British software engineer Wayne Gladwin, on National Day this year.[2]
