Vermont Air National Guard

The Vermont Air National Guard (VtANG), also known as The Green Mountain Boys[1], is the state militia of the state of Vermont.

VtANG has a two-fold purpose:

  • To supplement the active duty forces of the United States Air Force with equipment and combat-ready personnel to be utilized in times of war or during a national emergency.
  • To assist the State of Vermont during disasters or emergencies affecting the state.
