Verity Rushworth (born August 1985 in Bradford, West Yorkshire) is an English television actress who is best known for her role as Donna Windsor-Dingle in the ITV1 soap Emmerdale, having taken over the role from Sophie Jeffery in 1998.

She has also had minor roles in other ITV programmes, such as Heartbeat.

She also appeared as herself alongside her Emmerdale castmates on a celebrity version of the TV show Family Fortunes in December 2006.

She is currently dating England Rugby league star Lee Smith.

In January 2007 she was a contestant on the singing show Soapstar Superstar.

In September 2007 she appeared on Ghosthunting With The Dingles alongside some other members of her on-screen family.

In an interview, she stated that Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle) is her closest friend from the show.[1]
