Veritas Christian Academy

Veritas Christian Academy is a small co-educational Christian classical school in Fletcher, North Carolina, USA. It incorporates elementary school, middle school, and high school In the classical education, the three stages of the school are Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric. Also, students take classes such as philosophy, rhetoric, logic, apologetics, as well as Latin and Greek.
The school was founded in 1998 and now has 275 students and 35 teachers,[1] giving a teacher-student ratio of 1:8. Veritas despite its small size maintains a nationally ranked basketball team

The school is notable for its classical curriculum.[2]
The Elementary School course of study comprises:
- core subjects: Bible, English, History, Geography, Math, Reading, and Science
- special subjects offered in Grades Kindergarten to Fifth: Progymnasmata, Art, Music, and Physical Education
The Middle School course of study comprises:
- core subjects: Latin, Christian Studies, Literature and Composition, History, Math, Science and Logic
- special elective subjects offered in Grades 6th through 8th: Art Appreciation, Physical Education, Theater Appreciation, Performing Arts, Chorus, Band, Fencing, Chess and Guitar
The High School course of study comprises:
- core subjects: Language (Latin, Greek, Spanish), Literature and Composition, History, Math, Science, Theology/Logic and Advanced Studies (Argumentation, Rhetoric and Philosophy)
- special elective subjects offered for Grades 9th through 12th: Chorus, Drama, Print Journalism, Yearbook, Studio Art, AP Studio Art, Fencing, Guitar, or Chess
