Veritas is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.
Veritas is a mysterious being who embodies truth, and has precognitive powers. Doctor Strange encountered Veritas in Umar's dungeon in the Dark Dimension. He accompanied him to face Umar, and when Umar nearly overpowered Strange, Veritas showed Umar a reflection of her true face, distracting Umar long enough for Strange to defeat Umar.
Under the name of Sayge, Veritas predicted a possible future for the Sphinx which came true when he was defeated by Galactus. Later, after a pitched battle between a group of New Warriors and the Sphinx, Sayge came to the Warriors' aid and forced the Sphinx to face the truth about his existence.
