Verica Šerifović

Verica Šerifović (Serbian: Верица Шерифовић) (born 1963) is a singer from Serbia, the mother and first teacher of Marija Šerifović who was the winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2007. Her father is of Serbian and Croatian descent, and her mother is of Bosnian, Macedonian and Greek extraction.
Verica Šerifović's repertoire consists mostly of folk songs, especially Romani gypsy ones.
