[edit] Background
In the Warhammer Fantasy setting, Verena is presented as the goddess of justice and learning, patron of the educated, academics, clerks, wizards, lawyers, and anyone who relies on recorded knowledge.
Verena is described as a beautiful, dignified woman. She is considered to be married to Morr, the god of death and dreams, and is inconsistently presented as the mother of Myrmidia, the goddess of war. She is also presented as a deity opposed to both crime and tyranny, who encourages moderation, equity, and justice.
Verena is not presented as a popular goddess, but important to the educated classes of the Old World. The Warhammer setting exists to provide colour to various war games and role-playing games, and the character Verena has not been as developed as other setting deities.
[edit] Symbols
Verena is represented by the owl, scales of justice, and a sword.
[edit] Areas of Worship
The goddess is claimed to be the patron deity of universities and the personal divinity of many scholars, judges, magicians, and anyone reliant on wisdom or judgement.
