Verdon College is a co-educational Roman Catholic high school in Invercargill, New Zealand, teaching students from year 7 to 13 (ages 11-18).

Verdon College was created after an amalgamation in 1981 of Saint Catherine's College (single-sex high school for girls) and Marist College (single-sex high school for boys). In 2004 due to a government ruling Verdon and all other Invercargill High Schools had to accomodate year 7 & 8 Pupils.
[edit] Sport
Verdon is known throughout New Zealand for their national championship winning netball team coached by Robyn Broughton the Southern Steel coach and former Southern Sting and New Zealand Netball Assistant Coach. Verdon has produced Wendy Telfer, a Southern Steel Mid-Court player, and many other netballers. Jessica Hamill. a young Verdon paralympian. is another notable sports person.
[edit] Bishop Verdon Block
The school opened up a new multi-million dollar block in 2008 called the Bishop Verdon Block, mainly for the year seven and eight students. It was built on the site of the former Cargill High and part of the Kura. [1]
