[edit] Hollywoodland

Ok, you mean this trivia: According to Hollywood Kryptonite book, the movie does not mention the exhibition match Reeves was scheduled with Archie Moore on June 17th - 2 rounds, 2 minutes bouts. He was also scheduled to attend HS graduation of his friend's son, also not covered in the movie.

I know, but let's talk about it... first of all, ok put it there, so it does not get reversed.... but hollywoodland should have that as well, the above statement is self explanatory.

Thank you for a nice reply on the other page, are you an administrator? There are so many bad ones here, at any rate, i did add a very nice link, nothing else, nothing more, i usually do not change anything else, there are crazy people here who accused me and even people who were once associated with me with vandalism, would you believe i was unable to find good administrator since january, well i did a couple, but i do not want to bother them with these silly things, because they will believe others. Anyways, administrators, let me assure you, they think they are gods and owe this place. You don't know half of it.

You said... Hollywoodland
I am not an administrator, actually, but I'm glad I was able to help. I think the other editors really mean no harm; they're just sticking to the letter of the Wikipedia policies, and there's really nothing wrong or at least offensive in that by itself. I'm still a bit new to Wikipedia myself, and I'm still learning about the policies too. I'm also still learning about the community, and what I have learned so far is that by far the vast majority people do have the best intentions. I do appreciate that you want to make meaningful contributions to Wikipedia, but if something happens to be against policy, I don't think there's much you can do in a place like this where majority often holds sway. I hope this doesn't discourage you from contributing, and good luck with future edits! Verkhovensky 21:26, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, see to it that they dont delete the nice link i put, also go on yasser arafat site and add footnote to his birth in jerusalem, its there but it should be in the main paragraph, its amazing how people are stupid here, do you often have problems with these good for nothing administrators and other idiots?Yea I contribute what I can, but not with all these aholes around, so I only do minimu, if you only knew what Kind of a war i was raging in the past, you because i wanted the truth to be known, wiki founder, as well, he is not fair, that's why i don't take crap from people, and i have access to ip's so that is not a problem.

[edit] See what can be done

1.Arafat
2.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Joplin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Joplin
These things need changing, i simply added word jazz to ragtime, which is A FACT and a link, try to reverse that and go under history, get some of your friends,so we show these jerks!

Now, check this out... go here, this guy is totally out of line... http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hollywoodland&action=history Tell me, i added a very nice link which links to other links, is there something wrong with that, so, try to get some people with brains on this garbage of a wiki and let's show these morons they are wrong. When you say discouraged? yea, the only thing I do lately is wage wars with these idiot, BECAUSE I DO NOT TAKE GARBAGE FROM THEM, and I will not.

i tell you this much, finding a good person to talk to you (i assume you are one) it's really hard to on this lousy place. You could be uncivil sometimes with these jerks who revert things ,then they use that against you, but even so, even if you are uncivil, but right, how does that uncivility change a fact which already happened? So clearly people here lost their point, they may think they have it. e.g. I wanted to add a link on hollywoodland which leads to other links, some jerks reverted that and gave me some link that it's against policy to keep bunch of links, but how many bad ones they have they do not care, also they simply put that warning or link but they just put it there to looks good without justifying what exactly they have on their stupid minds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection You can support my claim here, but get some people, let's start something, let's have one good administrator on our side, otherwise they all stick together like cops and donuts.

[edit] Your reply

you said:

Hollywoodland I understand what you mean by uncivility not changing the facts of the case, but I also believe that maintaining civility is a good way to get people to see your side of the argument. Conversely, being uncivil makes people less likely to listen to you even if there are facts to back you up. In the case of your link, I do agree with the removal on the grounds that it violates Wikipedia policy. The policy posits that links that lead to a website of links are not suitable for Wikipedia. I appreciate the sentiment that you would like to give people a link to find more websites about the subject if they are currious, but that's against policy. If it were allowed I do believe that useful links that point in the direction of further research would surface, but then a ton of useless links that go to link dumps would also start to populate pages. So even if some useful links are deemed inappropriate, the policy is there for a reason and we editors need to follow it. Verkhovensky 23:34, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Nice to hear from you again and you reply on time and well, but you can do better, i agree with you, but can you do what i ask above, can you do that right, i simply ask to have a deep research and find out how wrong i am, if i am, not by much, otherwise, leave replies on your page.

KEEP IN MIND, BOTH SCOTT JOPLIN AND HOLLYWOODLAND, I DID MY BEST TO FOLLOW THE RULES AND INCLUDE BEST LINKS, WHICH DO NOT CONTRADICT OR GO AGAINST MADE UP WIKI POLICY, SO THEY DON'T HAVE AN ARGUMENT, THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE SEEN AS IDIOTS AND PROVEN WRONG.

I'm not an expert on the aforemnetioned subjects, so I don't know that I can provide any meaningful help. I took a very quick glance at the Scott Joplin article, and it looked like another edit war over external links again. I do remember upon first joining Wikipedia that a general warning to editors is something like "don't post things that you don't want mercilessly edited" or some such thing. Basically, sometimes there are people that disagree with you, and maybe a lot of people even. If that's the case, there's no use getting all bent out of shape about it, so just chalk it up to experience and move onto bigger, better things. That might sound like defeatist advice, but it's the best I can give. Verkhovensky 00:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, but there are aholes, you are here longer, can you find me some nice administrators, so i can explain my problem, i had this problem for a long time, and i need powerful administrator who can bring about some changes, it is very hard, you posted a lot and know folks. I do have an account, but i will not edit with that, do you know what these jerks would do, they would block it and post pure bs, so at least there, I DO NOT GIVE THEM SATISFACTION. You see, when these jerks unite as one, hard to have anything done, they agree and bookmark certain pages, so even if i revert, it gets reverted back by somebody else, again my articles were good and to answer your question, wikipedia is worse garbage there is, if they do not like you they will simply block you, right or wrong, so that's why at least i piss em off, but if i do, i always make sure links are correct and right. Simply tell administrator to look into these, these way they dont track my ip, they will delete my request, they do not want to be seen as aholes WHICH THEY ARE. I hope you understand, they are spitting on my work, that's why i do these edit wars (if thats how they call it) nothing more, nothing else.

I really think you are taking the edits of the others too personally. They're not spitting on your work, they just have a different perspective (apparently one shared by many) as to the value of specific contributions. I will reiterate that my best advice is to drop the edit wars and move onto new things that everyone finds acceptable. Verkhovensky 01:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

I reject your comment, this was a good conversation, now this, no, i asked you what to do above, be fair, or just consider yourself one of those, too personally, really? I look hard for good links, they revert it, i ask them to talk about it, they refuse, duh! But, if you look when I ask to fix few things, add note, what do they do attack me and i am hurt many times.

[edit] Hollywoodland Troll

Verhovensky, this person is apparently a long term troll that we have been dealing with. Maybe you could add your two cents in the case against this anonymous IP abuser Gnrlotto 02:07, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

This is what i mean, this is exactly what i mean, over time, people like that have been attacking me, calling me a problem, calling me vandal, what am i supposed to do, seat and do nothing, being called names, when i ask for assistance, i get the above, so now you now my frustration. And i was not the only one who was doing this, they are long problem, when they promise they will do something, look what they do, backfire, i just can not seat back while they back trash me, ever.!And if i do somethign wrong ok, so be it, but most of it is very very good, and they never say... gee that's good, they only say (jerks) they only have problems!

I just can not stand while they create page on me and accuse me of garbage. They say i can not talk to other editors, I can, but nobody wants to do anything. And if they do, it's against me.

Many of the "accusations" on that page are backed up by some of your verbatim contributions. I think the best thing you can do is learn from this experience and move on to more constructive things. Verkhovensky 02:20, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

But how can i do that, i want to clear my name, and instead of talking to me, they call me vandal, i can not stand and will nto accept that, and you could have said few good words for me too, how can i move away just like that?I must fight on, even if alone.

Ok, now i read your comments about me, what's the meaning of this, you are bad as the rest of them, you wished me good editing here, where is that wish, did you at least look into the links i posted before you said... well, they do not belong here? not nice!whatever, have a nice life. You yourself said that many administrators here are terrible.

Forgive me if I'm stepping on anyone's toes by responding to your discussion here, but this really isn't the place to "fight on". The spirit of the project is that we collaborate, and typing threatening messages in all caps in discussions doesn't really encourage anyone to want to "help" you. Rray 02:29, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I second that. Verkhovensky 02:31, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok. I take back if i was yelling, but i still reject what verk said, drop it, too personal, how can i, when i can not get any assistance here, i agree with you, but even if i say something silly, that does not change the fact that there are no good administrators and nobody wants to do anything, i was hoping verk will do something, instead, he attacked me, thanx a million.

[edit] Norse mythology

Hi,

It's great that you created articles from the remaining red links in the article about Norse mythology. But I'm sorry I had to turn the one you wrote about Ironwood into a redirect, for there's already an article about this place.

I'm glad you're working on Dostoevsky too.

Sigo 15:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem about the redirect - the original link in the Topics in Norse Mythology box went to a disambig page for Ironwood with only an innacurate line about the mythological location, so I figured the article needed to be created. But the real deal is a better article, so that's good for everyone. Thanks for the kind words! Verkhovensky 16:08, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Etherealization (cult)

The article Etherealization (cult) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 15:41, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Hard to say what's notable on wiki what's not, every time somebody tries to criticise administrators on their talk pages, (incident and watchboard), what they do not like, all gets deleted, the link under hollywoodland they did not like, said came from vandal, then when it was reverted back by another user, nobody touched it, so yea, we are talking about top quality hypocrity, only on wiki. And its always good to contribute here: http://www.wikipedia-watch.org/

[edit] Your recent edit to Dostoevsky's devils

I think your wording is very misleading on Dostoevsky's article and his intentions. Since he was being critical of Michael Bakunin and his ideas of socialism, nihilism (as coined by Ivan Turgenev). Turgenev and the targets of the book where on the left. Please reconsider. It you need sources I can oblige. His criticisms where not equal to both left and right Dostoevsky was a Russian Orthodox slavophil and monarchist. LoveMonkey 01:59, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
