[edit] Sorry about that.

Sorry about that. I was reverting the vandalism of the person who posted before you, and I missed your addition. Didn't intend to blank your part of the article.--Vercalos 22:26, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

No worries :-) I know it can be hard to keep vandals out and have removed content on accident myself before too. -Quasipalm 22:28, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
I decided to test that little link in the corner that says "block log." I hope I don't get into trouble for that. Apparently it affected more than I expected it to.--Vercalos 22:30, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
The block log link shouldn't affect anything - it should just list the times that a contributor has been blocked, who by and what for. Unless you've found a secret block log button that I don't know about... --Cherry blossom tree 23:11, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Weird. I followed the links and came to a request form to unblock him. I guess you can request that even if he isn't blocked.--Vercalos 23:17, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
I think you must've accidentally clicked 'unblock' on the page that comes up when you click 'block log'. That produces a screen that sounds like the one you spoke of. I don;t think you could have done anything with it thought since you're (presumably) not an admin.--Cherry blossom tree 23:43, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Harry Potter

Re The_Unforgivable_Curses_in_the_world_of_Harry_Potter, there are such a thing as nonverbal spells. It sure looked like a nonverbal Imperius to me (I did read the book. Twice). Read up on nonverbal spells. You don't have to actually say the spell/curse/charm in order to invoke it (remember when Harry blew up his aunt?)

How else is Voldemort supposed to force Harry to do something? Only one spell I can think of - a nonverbal Imperius. Sure it doesn't say in the book it was a nonverbal Imperius, but you do the math. - nathanrdotcom (Talk • Contribs) 20:20, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Did you actually try reading the book, or were you just trying to be offensive? The exact quote from the book is this;
"I said, bow," Voldemort said, raising his wand- and Harry felt his spine curve forward as though a huge, invisible hand were bending him ruthlessly forward, and the Death Eaters laughed harder than ever.
When the book described the imperius curse earlier, it described a light-headed, pleasant sensation, not a push from behind. The spell was undoubtably nonverbal, but it was entirely physical.--Vercalos 20:36, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I read the book and no I'm not trying to be offensive - I do remember WP:CIVIL (be civil to other users), obviously you do not. Fine you're right, whatever. You didn't have to accuse me of being offensive, that was completely uncalled for. You could've tried BEING MATURE. Page unwatched. - nathanrdotcom (Talk • Contribs) 20:40, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
In all honesty I did not do any worse than you did. In fact, the very worst I did was throw your own statement back at your teeth--Vercalos 20:42, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] IP Vandal

IP is on the watchlist, I'll get someone to block it if it keeps it up -- Tawker 07:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

I wonder if I should have told him I'm a girl and don't have a penis at all?--Vercalos 07:22, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Nope, don't feed the trolls (it's a policy but I'm too lazy to grab the wikilink right now :) -- Tawker 07:26, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
No, I mean to mess with him. I love pissing off trolls by turning their own games back on them.--Vercalos 07:27, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Link spammer

Indeed he was annoying (and prolific). Too bad neither of us could block him. Usually the WP:AIV is faster than that.... OhNoitsJamieTalk 06:57, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

If I had the time and the qualifications, I'd apply for the job myself.--Vercalos 06:58, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Shiafy'er

Additionally, block evasion via multiple ips can be circumvented via semiprotection. El_C 07:27, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

Thanks so much for reverting my user and talk pages after they were vandalized. ^_^ --Viridian || (Talk) 08:15, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Heh. No problem. I just wish I could do something more permenant to vandals.--Vercalos 08:18, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
