Talk:Very Small Array
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Removed content from article
I've removed the following from the article:
- The Very Small Array was a humorous working name used in comparing it to the Very Large Array near Socorro, New Mexico, but in the end it stayed. Other potential early names for the array included the very British title Quite Small Array.
While a nice bit of information, I can't find a reference for it. If anyone can provide a ref for it, then it can go back on the article page.
Also, the external links:
- One of the first high-resolution images of the cosmic microwave background
- 2002 News report about the VSA
The first, while pretty, doesn't add anything more to the article than is already provided by the links to the Jodrell/Cambridge webpages on the VSA. The second is a fairly shallow news report, the content of which is given much better both in the article and in the journal references. Mike Peel 03:40, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
