Talk:Vertical punch

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article seems... quite opinionated.

It should be more of a description of the technique and less of everything else (such as calling Chinese "stylists" backwards, which is more of an opinion.)

[edit] Rewrite?

Instead of a merge, what about a rewrite? Isshin-ryu is by no means an exclusive style to have vertical fist punches. All of karate has it, known as tate-tsuki (立て突き). Wing Chun is famous for it, known as hung fa yi punch, if my quick googling was correct. It would be very useful to have articles about all fighting techniques which explain their mechanics and say, impartially, which styles have them and what they call them. --Cubbi (talk) 15:19, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
