Talk:Vernon Chatman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What is an African-American accent? I need some clarification here. At best, this sounds like a misquote...I hope so at least. At a minimum, I don't think it should be noted here without any analysis or additional information.
- Different English-speakers in different regions and different cultures have different dialects and different accents (e.g. America's 'Old South', Boston, New Zealand, South Africa). Blacks in America (often called 'African-Americans') have a distinctive dialect and accent. As an example, one easily recognized feature of this accent is its use of a non-rhotic 'r'. Hope this helps.
is chatman black? one picture i saw seems to suggest that he is, however several other pics show him as being a white guy.
Vernon is half and half. His mother is white and his father is black.
