He sent it via email to Plumberman032. The following is quoted from the applicable email correspondence:

"(Dec 10, 2007 12:47 AM, Subject:Photo Licensing Query) Dr. Verschuur,

Apparently there are some stipulations that must be followed in order for a photograph to remain on Wikipedia. Briefly, you must agree to the following before I am able to upload the photograph you sent.

"I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby grant the permission to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts."

(Full text of the license may be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GNU_Free_Documentation_License )

If you agree to this and still wish me to upload the photo, please send a reply to that effect. If you do not agree, please tell me that also."

To which Dr. Verschuur replied:

"(Dec 10, 2007 7:46 AM, Re: Photo Licensing Query) I own this photo and do not mind how it is used. Gerrit " (He then quoted the entire text of the license agreement I sent him.)
