Can anyone tell me what "Vepsia" is?--Shakura 14:15, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Probably just the region where the Vepses live or traditionally inhabit. According to FOTW, they live "in the area south of Karelia, between the lakes Ladoga and Onega [in Leningrad Region]". Also see this. —Khoikhoi 18:55, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vepses not in use in English

http://www.veps.org/About/index.htm shows that Vepsians use "Vepsian" themselves and Google of US university sites shows that Vepses is not in use in English:

site:edu vepses veps

site:edu vepsians veps

http://www.eki.ee/books/redbook/veps.shtml and https://drum.umd.edu/dspace/bitstream/1903/3395/1/umi-umd-3207.pdf and http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/ru-veps.html are reliable sites, and Vepses is not in use in English. Move blocked by redirect page.
